Taken a while this one, a few false starts etc. Anyway, there or there abouts now. There are a few tweeks i will think about over time, but fundamentally this is how i saw this build in my minds eye.

Purchased the frame and forks from Stuey about a year ago, and its taken me till now to really get on top of it. Not had a proper ride yet, but seemed quite twitchy up front, but gets the power down nicely

some lovely fillet brazing on show here

Spec wise its a bit mixed

M900 chainset with pace rings
M900 rear mech
DX front mech

M950 hubs and mavic 217s

some nice delicate cantis - but levers could do with new grips - lord knows where i might get them from

flame blue paint - but one day would benefit from a new coat

XT pedals, flight saddle, control tech stem, boring seat post and boggo headset.

got a set of m900 cantis i could use, need a m900 front mech.

keeping half an eye out for a nice seat post in 27.2 - something will come up one day - maybe ti? same for the stem. A silver king headset would be nice, and will probably get fitted if and when i get it repainted

also the eagled eyed may have spotted all sorts of extra braze ons for front panniers and even a dynamo! would lose them if i got it repainted

Cor what a beauty.

I've seen fat chainstays like that on a DONKIS....., but I don't remember seeing road type cable routing and those cable guides at the bottom of the downtube before... not that I'm an expert on Yates, just a big fan (I have two).

thanks Neil, means a lot coming from a british steel guru like your good self!

dont think they are cable guides - 3rd set of bottle mounts I think. As you can see it has gear shifter mounts on the down tube - so interesting drop bar with STi options maybe....
