Loving it Roy. Been working on mine today.

Is the mounting plate for the rear roller cam just bolted through the seatstay bridge?

it sure is. one lone bolt. quality of workmanship on the adapter
is very good. doesn't look homemade. anyone ever seen anything like it?

That's pretty cool! How do you like the Rollercam brake? I find mine is rather on/off, not much modulation?

That is a very cool bike.

I think these originally had a cantilever front and a calliper rear brake. I'd say that yours has a home made rear roller cam adaptor on it, made by someone who knew what they were doing and who wanted a rear brake that was as good as the rest of the bike.

hi
what do you think the odds of picking up another one of these over a couple weeks would be?
slim to none? guess i should have bought a lottery ticket.
just brought this one home. another 1984 SM500.
only difference and the reason i picked it up, is this one is a 24"x24" wheel version.
how cool is that?

Cool indeed Roy, a very nice pair. Is there anything that can't be found in BC?
