1990 Specialized Stumpjumper Epic

Very nice  If you could get your hands on some black XT components that would be awesome with this frame.

I believe that you should guide the frontderrailleur cable on the leftside of the downtube. The cable starts parallel on the tube and then at the end it goes under the bracket.

Have fun building it and go riding!

Cheers,
Will

Fantastic offering from a large bike company. I really liked mine...but foolishly sold it. So I bought another!
They're very neutral out on the trail...which is to say, no noticeable negative traits. A little dull feeling, but thats how you know you're riding carbon!

Here's my old one...pretty much exactly the same as yours, though I felt it was a 91 (hence M734 brakes).
Feel free to use it as a guild for fd cable routing and what kind of hanger for the rear brakes.

My current one is the same but different.

Thanks for the comments folks - and for the perfect 'template' pics Rumpfy! :D

As soon as I get this rigged-up I'll be going for a spin; interested to do a head-to-head vs. the M2.

TBH I'm not sure if this is a 90 or a 91, but the M732 brakes and shifters push me towards making it a 90. (edit: just shows you what I know! ;))

Looks like I need one of those under the bb cable routers as well as a rear canti hanger... anyone got spares kicking around please?

They'll ride pretty different. Those M2's are super stiff and pretty harsh feeling. Epic will be a lot 'softer'.

Cable guide should be super easy to get.
