Cheers for the info Ash. Yeh I think I remember in one of the original catalogue poses the Team was rockin' a Gelflex. I've got one still in its packaging in the garage so I might see what it looks like on the gate. Personally I love the old Avocet Gelflex but there's a lot that don't.... they're certainly not very popular on RB :(

I tried an Avocet on mine, it was a little large. I like the Flite much better.

It funny how simple a build can be, start with a solid frame, add a clean (period correct) XT group and you have a super clean period correct bike which will function wonderfully. I've never been a fan of Kleins but yours is a stunner and it is my size which makes it even more desirable. I agree with Eric on the saddle, but that is a fantastic looking bike, good job on the build!!

Three things

1) Nice bike
2) You should have kept the other, then you would have had a his and hers !!!
3) If you go to Richmond Park, let me know, I will bring a Dolomite as well

Nice bike. I can imagine the emotion when you opened the box.
I like the black crank 8) . I am fan of the Avocet on the Dolomites.
Congratulations
