My 93 Orange Clockwork...

PatM

Retro Newbie
Well ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I give you my Orange Clockwork in all her slightly shabby well-used glory!

Originally born out of my wrecked Alpinestars Almega-DX after I sold the frame with its shagged head tube to a "mate" and kept the rest :)

Current spec is something like this:

93 Orange Clockwork
Pace RC35 forks
Shimano DX & XT groupset
1st generation SPD
Use Alu Seatpost with Halfords special QR clamp (snapped my x-lite ti jobbie :-( )
Velo Titanium Saddle
Ritchey Force stem
Scott Octane bars with Onza Porcupine grips.
Dia Compe Power Control 7 Exa brake levers
Dia Compe Versa Contol 737 rear brake
Dia Compe 986 front brake
Ritchey Vantage Comp rims
Currently on some modern Maxxis rubber - wow they grip well compared to my old Panaracer loops!

Slight problem with the forks - they ran out of bounce. I wonder why?

Nice to see an old patina clockwork..welcome

If you want your forks serviced contact Tim..member justbackdated who is ex pace and will do an excellent job at a very fair price

Why? It still works...

I don't think I have the patience to spend all the time and money on that, and then be too afraid to use it. It'll just get sympathetic preventative maintenance.

And, yes, I know those tyres look shite on it, but the ancient Panaracers on it were waaay past their best!

... but the forks are obviously getting som TLC.

Some of those rubber wine corks should do the trick...
