Been lurking here for the longest time. Have recently chanced upon a good condition frameset locally and thus embarking on my first retrobike build.
Im gonna keep it simple by building it singlespeed.
Hi there, Niiiiiiiice... I have recently put together a 93 Timberline as a singlespeed. I rescued it from a seller on Gumtree.
I replaced the Cantis with V-brakes but left the high nosebleeder stem on since it matched the paintjob
How are you going to do the singlespeed? A chain tensioner or an eccentric hub (which is probably worth more than the Timberline itself)?
Your Timberline is in great condition.
Mine is here.

It was cleaned up and some parts replaced, non matching Ourys installed
Not a full-on rebuild, just SS it and make it a bit better. It is one *very* rigid frame. Love to take it around Burkit Timah one day
