Decided to build the Funk Force GS up for the wife.....i love this frame & felt very lucky to acquire it a little while ago on here.

Renewed the elastomers in the forks the other day and they feel just right.

Planned spec:

Frame: Funk Force GS 94'
Forks: Manitou 1
Headset: Chris King
Stem: Ringle Trail
Bars: Answer Hyperlite
Grips: Ritchey
Seatpost: Syncros Ti
Saddle: Avocet Spenco Gel
Seat Collar/QR: Ringle Holey
Hubs: Bullseye
Rims: Mavic MA40 MB
Spokes: DT Swiss DB
Cassette: Ventura 8 Speed
Tires: Hardpack 2.2 (Front), Ground Control 1.95 (Rear)
Mechs: XT M737/M739
Shifters/Levers: XT M739
Chain: HG90
Cantis: XT M730
Chainset: XT M739
Bottom Bracket: UN91
Pedals: XT M730
Bottle Cage: Ringle

You were lucky indeed to get hold of the frame. I'm guessing this is why you got those rigid forks?

The rigid forks will go on the Pro Comp if i don't like the Funk suspension forks ;)
 
That is seriously nice mate....same year as my Durango (p comp). Trail stem is a bit special too. :cool:

I'll fling you a set of headtube and seat tube decals when I finally get around to having them made up.

That would be top notch mate...thanks. I'll send a little cash in return if you like....no rush though :)

Yeah, really looking forward to seeing the finished product now that i've sorted a crown race shim from a mate...won't be long now :D
