Montague M1000 bi-frame.... bendy bike

mrgumby

rBotM Winner
just been given this to fix up for a friend... he brought it back from America when he was younger and then rode it into the ground as a courier in london....

sorry about the photos..

gonna remove all the lights and other rubbish, wash off the mud and cobwebs then try and fit a new bottom bracket... and find out how a suntour cassette works, I suspect the lock ring is missing cos the cogs are rolling around...

the foldy-bit works though!

It would be very cool for turning in some very technical and narrow tracks

yup, I found this one earlier today when I was trying to find out about montague..

you sold it a while back, right?

I'm quite into this bike for some reason, It's a bit unusual... I'll do some more photos later on...

I found out that Montague had a special ops mountain bike program with DARPA... they designed and built some folding paratrooper mountain bikes that could be dropped out of planes.. I love that - mTB commandos..

that's kind of how i feel sometimes i guess...
