Havng just spend best part of the past two weeks refurbing a 97' P7 in Tomato red, that it is worth having a go with some cutting compound.
Mine was pretty scuffed and scratched, but the finish on these id pretty thick, so will take a good cutting back.
I used a cutting compound to start with, then AutoGlym paint renovator, which also lifts out a lot of discolouration, then a good polish with AG Glass polish, which really puts a shine on it. Then a final wax with a good resin polish.
Have you had any more progress with this?
