I was just watching a 16inch zaskar le frame and forks on ebay, blue frame, went for 215 quid..bargain for someone that was!
Wait until you see my zaskar, i dont polish it anymore, dont want it standing out too much when i lock it at the shops..but its a beauty still non the less, original stickers...I will get some pics and post them when i remember and get a chance, its great to know that there is a fanbase for them. Ive got a specialised hardrock pro too but never ride it, nothing compares to the zaskar for speed, ridgidness and handling..Ive never got bored of it in 15 years that ive owned it.

goto paint on ya pc .open the image.click image......resize.....choose percentage reduction.make sure the value is the same in both boxes or piccie is going to be wonkie.save as jpeg and exit .then check imagesize by right click and then properties.keep going til the size is right.or you can link from photo bucket ect..without the size reduction.

That look's great 8) , your's is looking great too ZG

I bought a brand new Zaskar LE frame in 94, wanted a polished one but they could only get a purple anodized one in 16" at the time, loved that bike but sold it about a year and a half later when i was skint , regreted it almost instantly :(

Been looking for another on and off for the past year or so, 16" ones are harder to find than 18" ones (though 14.5's must be very rare) finaly got a Zaskar frame last week :) , still to arrive but cant wait :D , it's a 94 but going for the early decals like yours ZG as i love the large ZASKAR on the downtube 8)

Reading your story rings so many bells with me, especially about selling your bike..hhmm i am still living with selling my GT Team Avalanche frame and forks back in 1993 to fund a trip to america..I only got about 150 quid for it, small price for what was a beautifull bike, definatly dont sell your pride and joys people! Never, no matter how tight it gets.
I am finding it fascinating all of this, i only stumbled on this website last night, ive always known that these are the best hardtail frames ever made in my opinion, hand made by one guy in america when gt was still a cool company, before they sold out, now they are made in china i think? but yeah, the welding is perfect bead welding, a pure work of art! At the time it cost me i think about 450 pounds just for the frame. I first saw one when looking at a mountain bike magazine at my mates house, no hands ray was on the cover riding a 14.5 inch alloy zaskar le, i knew at that moment, that i had to have that bike..so thats what i did..the rest is history as they say.

Almost exactly how i ended up with one :) , used to buy all the magazines BITD, it was in a copy of MBA where i seen the GT add with Hans Ray, he was riding over the edge of a cliff and the add said "If you are going to follow Hans Ray make sure you are riding a Zaskar" , shortly after that i bought his Level Vibes video then i had to get a Zaskar, dont know what GT have paid Hans over the years but he must have sold thousands of Zaskars for them.

Mine was about the same price, £450, very nice things, like most bikes and frames (Klein etc) later ones just are'nt the same.
