Hi,
Just thought I'd show my Marin Palisades. It's been used about 4 times (in summer on a road), but has spent it's entire life indoors in the warm. The bike has been upgraded on the components side and the entire bike is pretty much new.

As with most things, it looks a lot better in the flesh as my camera isn't that great.

I adored Marin bikes during this era  there was just something about the way they looked and the colouring. They lost it for me when everything went grey  .

Cool as!

Please put some Marin Pro Combo tyres on it though.

I keep wanting to have the fluoresent paint on one of mine, but managing to resist at the moment. I just love the bars and stem.

Still got mine, exactly the same year (1990) and it was my first MTB.

Since then I've done over 40,000 miles on her, everything broken or worn out except the frame. Nowadays she's dressed as a tourer with drop bars.

The best days ever were :
1 Crossing the Golden Gate bridge at sunset after having ridden from Portland Oregon
2 Riding the Slickrock trail
3 Bombing down a hill in Australia at 45mph with 4 panniers and a barbag
4 Using her as a daily commuter in Singapore.

Thanks for showing the photo - a realy treat as to what my bike once looked like. That grey Zolatone paint is soooooooo cool.

Picture attached...
