All the Merlins I saw in this period had black decals, and usually had black painted cromo forks.

I'm a fan of M730 cantilevers in black :)

It's a McMahon Racing Cycles (MRC) scissor brake.

This is a very nice Merlin and based on welds you can see that it's from the 89th. I think it go very well together with black XT 730 parts (but everything in black will also look beautiful :wink:)

O yea! I remember this brand and sertainly those ads. Make me wonder if my handle bar and stem could be from the same brand. The first owner stripped of all logos and stickers from most of the parts. The shapes looks identical.
I'm still a silver/Ti guy, hate black parts! :wink:
