Retro Newbie
I just acquired this Gary Fisher Montare (1990, 16", Yellow/Blue). It appears to have original components with very little wear. Some paint chips. Absolutely no rust. All chrome very clean. Alas, it is a small frame, so I can't ride it. I purchased this hoping to find an owner who might appreciate the vintage & condition. Classic mtb's do seem to be more of a male fetish, and this is more of a woman's size frame. THis was produced in Taiwan. But I'm guessing it has some value based on condition and components. I started riding mtb's in 1987, but am not a vintage collector or expert. Just wanted to get a little feedback from the experts here. (I live in Fairfax, CA -near Gary Fisher & the other "mtb pioneers")
I know it is a mass produced bike. But it appears to be very clean for the age. Any value as a "collectible"?
Full DX gruppo.
Araya RM20 rims
Fisher saddle
Bontrager Comfort B Hard Case tires
Thanks!
