Anyone got a clue? Except for wheels its complete (although some bits are in use elsewhere...).

Its got a Titanium Flexistem, which I'd never seen before.

Drive was XT rapid fire FD-M735 band-on front mech etc.

I touched up the original paintwork (there were no stickers on it) and cut a cack spring to fit in place of the concrete elastomer.

Never rode it though.

if it was XT , it would have been 750 , 550 was all LX I think .

looks like a 852, have one in the garage, still use it
changed the front forks to girvin vector 2. still have the titanium flexistem somewhere. Will try and post some pictures

I've seen his passport photos and everything to prove it.
