Cheers from Greece to everybody.
Love the site, although wife thinks porn sites cost less....

I just started rebuilding one of the two frames I got from ebay, and I am looking to find their actual year.

The cinder cone is allready stripped and powder coated in a bright orange, with the P2 coated in bright black (not very original, but I love the combination)

The second frame is supposed to be a hahanna, but the decals are all worn up. I have found even a lava dome with the exact same color sheem, and can't tell what it actually is.

Pictures will follow.

Cheers
Nick

And my favourite of the two is the orange one which is a 1996 I think but hard to tell the colour of yours from the picture

Yep, that Cinder Cone is a late '96 model. I had one - lovely matte cherry red :P . The original '96 colour was 'gange green' but they brought out the cherry red later in the year.

Color came out SUPER....

Fork was also stripped and powdercated. Tange Japan headset installed.

A nos 105 crank with a single Stronglight 48t disc looks really cool. It only enters with the 118mm BB and with single disk. Not very mountain bikish, but this is my daily commuter, so....

Result is coming out nice (IMHO)

I got a pair of XT739 Vs and I am looking for 739 or 740 hubs to fit a 9speed cassete.

I also have my eyes on a NOS 750 derailleur, but I need to check if it covers the 11-36 cassete. Help appreciated...

Since this is a road bike actually, and no abuse is going to be put to it, I would like a set of polished rims. Rigida makes some but I can only find them in 28''. Any ideas?

Finally finished....

Image

New XT derailleur on polished LX hubs and Sapim inox spokes on Rigida Sputniks (and a small ding looking big due to color....)

Image

Sram Attack with Kona Cowan grips and XT levers

Image

Cheap (6euro) cable stop, from ebay. Works perfect and is small enough not to catch the eye

Image

And a set of XTRs to stop the beast

Image

Bar and stem are Ritchey Classic
