For Steel Fans, This is a true American Classic.

Again, i used to own a PDG 50 during my college years. which regretfully sold to a friend.

One thing about the Paramounts, their top of the line models came with thumb shifters, which i could never understand, given their counterparts had the famous STI/Rapidfire setup.

So as the story goes, Nostalgia struck and i got myself this small sized (15.5") PDG90 which i think belongs to either 1991 or 92.

The PDG90 was the top of the line model in the Schwinn Paramount range. It has a lugged Frame made from Paramount Precision Tange in Japan Of course.I have to admit, it is one of the lightest steel bikes i have owned, in part to its size, but i do not imagine the bigger sizes weighing that much more.

It is equipped with full stock Suntour XC pro grouppo and Dia Compe SS7 braking system. The rims are Compagnolo Atek tims.

Did Paramounts sell in the UK ?
:)
