great little DeKerf 8) Avid brakes are quite unique, I guess.

One day I want to ride a DeKerf.

Yep. We bought both new at Dukes. They were selling DeKerf frames and we custom built this one for the most part using brand new XT/Syncros/RaceFace and changing a few parts.....XTR rear dérailleur, avid brakes, seat, and eventually the riser handlebars.

did they stock DeKerf at the shop, or was it ordered? I stopped frequenting Duke's prob early/mid 1990s so not familiar with what they carried.

Gary carried quote a few frames. He always had at least one or two DeKerf's hanging from the ceiling! :D
