after a couple of months of rain finally begun the restoration of my new alpinestar started by stripping all the parts it came with as most had much seen better days then out came the Tcut and then out came the caranuba wax for a nice finish added some recently acquired and heavily polished campy wheels and de-boxed some NOS biscuit Psycho's which i thought looked nice on it

then the parts box was applied decided on MT60/62/63 stuff with some DX pedals and a splash of purple and gold ano just needs a chain and off we go

Fantastic...

Doesn't even exist in the 1990 catalogue, so possibly a rare beast.

There was the Mtn Xcross, but this isn't one of them..

was thinking that , looks like a cro-mega frame tho ,cept the lx ones were pink
do think one of mine has mtn cross decals on tho

It really is a nice machine and considering its age it cleaned up so well chain is in cleaning at the minute but i cant wait to take her for a spin not sure i will keep the Psycho's on though as the clearance is a bit tight so might drop down to a 1.8 panaracer tyre

i would like to add a cro-mega from this year and a MTN cross but overdraft says NO
