FINALLY! After years and years searching, I was able to acquire a 22" Red Shred! The story goes, in 1990, I found on in a bike shop in Livermore, CA. I think it was priced around $800. About $300 more that I had in my savings. a few months past until I got the $800 to purchase the bike. When I went to the shop, it had be sold the past weekend. I was crushed. That feeling never left me.

About four years ago I was doing a Google search for Red Shreds and came across one in TX. I emailed the guy to see if he would sell it to me. Sadly, he declined. I pinged him once ever year to see if he had changed his mind. Happily, I received an email last week telling me he was ready to sell. So, hopefully by this time next week I should have my Red Shred!

Wow
Thats a big frame!! I love these, my pal in highschool had an Sm1000 which looked very similar but in 18" , it had the graffitti graphics on the downtube

Looking forward to you getting some of your pictures up,
These frames climb hills like Billy Goats!! :D :D

Enjoy

BITD, one of my mates had one of these, identical size frame too, I reckon. He was not an inch taller than 5'9 and it fitted him a treat.

Was really nice to ride, from memory.

I never understood the geometry of the thing, but it certainly 'worked' 8)

Didn't you have one of these already EZ, or do you have another?

I have a 1992 M800, which is similar. I also have a 16" (it has 24" wheels, front and back) for when my son is old enough to ride a mountain bike.

LOL! Not sure. This one will be a commuter bike though. Once I fix it up of course.

Anyway here's mine.......picked this up last year and slowly returning it to original factory spec.

Nice looking Shred!

Yeah, those white handlebars. I think I will keep them...in a box. I would have changed them back in the day and I am going to change them now. :)
Everything else will be spec.
