I agree. GT got the decals right that year.

Only thing I'd change, personaly, is the tyres. A nice set of smoke/dart or Ritchey Zmax Amberwalls.

Funny you mention it.

..considering a pair of WCS Z-max evo 2.1s

They look like the real deal..

Whats the chances of finding some stock amberwall Z-max's these days in good nick?

Funny things. I remember taking them off hardly worn.

Back in the day, I was having a chat with a guy in a bike store. He said the knobs had angles on them that wore off after 100 k's.

Soon after, off they came.

Couldn't find them for the life of me. Lost in the sands of time now :)

Oh man great bike.....I had a spent Rock Shox on the '92 I found--but I replaced the fork rather than fix it, and it didn't make my last move, alas.

Keep it rigid...but if you don't, sell me your 3Ds!

Decided to try out 2x7.

Ground down some washers to fit.

It's not too bad.

Bit like the bmx days.. running out of gears down hill :)

Just put on some period grips and polished the frame.

So what do you rekon, keep it naked or put some fresh decals on?

It's time to move on.

It's being stripped for parts.
