20 + years and more than that number of pounds later something had to give ...

Too many pounds and landed a bit too hard...

I'll be looking for a replacement. If the hub flange diameter is the same as that AC hub, I'll rebuild it with the same rim and Ti spokes using a Deore XT instead, otherwise I'll be looking for an American Classic again.[/img]

Nice bike tho!

Can't argue though two decades and countless races later ...
I can't complain - pretty good service life out of it.

More pictures. Some interesting kit on your bike. What will you do now?

Bet that was an interesting moment as you were riding along.

Felt like I had taco'ed the wheel and broken some spokes. Luckily the walk back home was only a bit over 2 miles.

As far as what I will do - probably try to find a vintage Deore XT wheel set to play with for fun rides while looking for a hub to rebuild this wheel.

Suntour XCPro derailleurs and shifters, Grafton Speedstix and SpeedTraps, One-Off fork, titanium cogset (can't remember who made that), Ti bolts, bars, bar ends, spokes and anywhere else it could be put.

I think I've posted these in another thread but here are a few pics

Ti cassette, it could be tioga are the spacers blue?

Not blue, silver and as I recall they are individual cogs rather than a cassette. I'll check when I have a few.
Thanks
Paul
