reliving my younger years - Cannondale Project

Desperately fighting against Carbon frames, 30speeds, 29inch wheels and all things newfangled, I've recently purchased a new project bike, a 1992(?) Cannondale.

I had a 1992 M1000 when they first came out (in fact, I was one of the first people in the South of England to purchase one!), and have always been a 'dale fan....but retro 'dales in OZ don't come along too often so when I saw this come up I just had to go for it. I paid $238 for it, and as you may see from the picture it needs a bit of work. I'm sure its a M700, though the person I bought it from only originally purchased a frame & pepperoni forks, both of which still look in good condition. I'm hoping to rebuild it back to near original(ish) condition, so I may well be trawling on here for that elusive shiny part.....

Anyway, I'll update as I progress, but if anyone has more info or knowledge on 'dales then I'm all ears!
