Picked this up recently off Ringo to add to my stable, going to ride it as is untill the replacement parts pop up , its back to original spec with dx etc but the 3d forks are staying.
I cant wait to feel the difference between this and my 91 version,
going to start on the frame work first as the rear dropout adjusters are seized and snapped, then I will sort the paint work out by spraying the stem fluro yellow and re tiger striping the forks and stem,
cheers Ringo

Love it as you already know ;)

Looking forward to hearing your comparison between the two. Is the 91 tange tubing like my 1990?

very eye-catching colours

always a bonus to have GT bars on there too. be nice to see it at hayfield but, the reflex will suffice ;)

p.s if the rear mech on that GT has no fixed abode i will buy it from from you!

Yeah, 1991 is Tange MTB double-butted.

It's looking good and the 3D forks are a bonus. I'm wishing the one I bought recently still had this original paint.

I'll be interested to hear your comparison with the '91 version, because my comparison has to be from memory, given that my '91 Elite will be a long way from standard when I finish it.

Great to see both going to a good home... both look great already...

I don't know, owned two and neither had the proper fork!

Cheers for all the love guys
Right to the paint, I have managed to paint the stem but im not over the moon with it, its a bit mustard'y but it will do for now, also been playing with hammerite smooth and a kebab skewer (Cheers GT Steve) and it works a treat,

And the kebab applier, just dunk and get creative,

Just got to finish a bit of touch up on the frame and I can start the build,
I did have a go before I pulled it apart and the main difference was the weight and the forks (set middle) it makes for a very whippy and agile xc machine,
back soon.
