1997 - Scott Summit

I've been following this board for some time now an thought it was about time to try and start something up myself.

Picked this up earlier this week for a nice price, checked the catalogue and nearly all original parts are still on it (except for the tires that is).

The bike clearly needs some tlc, to make it run smooth again so i guess i know what to do in the next few days.

This is my first "retro-bike" and to be honest i don't have a concrete plan on where exactly i'm going with it yet ... i'm not planning on upgrading the parts to much since i already have another racing-machine :)
I have to say i was surprised by how light this frame is.

If i can go a little fatter on the tires, maybe i'll make this a single-speed. I'll probably put a straight fork on it to, but which one?
Your inspiration is welcome, for some reason i can't find any Scott Summit's in this forum, is this model to common?
