This frame was just given to me by my neighbour having a clearout of his cellar. I think it's 1992 (can someone confirm this?). 19". Impact threaded headset with P2's. DX pedals etc. I love the severely ovalised tubing at the bottom of the seat tube.

Not sure what I will be doing with it yet - either commuter or strapped to my turbo trainer.

My old faithful!

Dont strip it - build it up!

Im still keeping mine and making it look like new and original - 500lx and Dx bits.

Gave me a lot of fun that bike did - and a broken collarbone....

I would just clean and polish it and try it out as a commuter. An old and well-loved Lava Dome is one of the best commuters IMO, great to ride, cool as you like so long as it has its original paint, but not valuable enough to be prime thief candy. You might just find it's still there when you need it to take you home, which is the main thing about a commuter, isn't it?

Turbo it Ed, with a slick rear tyre to reduce noise!
Least then you can get a bit of use out of it as you decide on what bits it'll wear.
