No.3850 - That 20 yrs old Merlin.....still looking good!

Dirt Disciple
I always wanted a Cunningham, and as soon as i could afford one, he'd stopped building.
This bike was put together in 1992 in San Francisco, in a bike shop on Lombard street by an enthusiastic young guy, who was asked to build a bike that he would build for himself.
Initially it came with a Rock Shox RS1, its somewhere around (i think), and different grips. Tires may have being changed, probably :?: and 2 years ago i took off the Shimano pedals (PD-M747's). The Rascal that was bought together with this Merlin, has loaned the Suntour pedals. The rest is as it was.
Merlin's website states "Brand rebirth underway". Good luck and lets hope they make something worth keeping and showing in 20 years from now :D .

merlins are cooler than ccs. ;)
nice setup... except the stem and the susp fork.

Coming from you sir, this is more than a compliment. Thank you.
Well, this Litespeed Ti stem is the original that came with the bike, so i will keep it. Wouldn't mind finding a rigid fork to replace the RockS though, could order a Steve Potts Type II, with a black crown (as on Bushpig's Newsboy/MTBR thread, where you have shown all 3 sizes, S,M & L, of the Newsboys-my compliments). The seat post (originally Ritchey) should be replaced. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
