I picked this up yesterday. It's in beautiful condition with just a tiny chain suck, just let down by some of the components.

I've been busy today changing what I can.

Gripshifts - gone
Brake levers - gone
LX Front wheel - gone
LX rear mech - gone
LX Cranks gone - gone
Pedals - gone

In their place I've put:

NOS XT Combo shifters
WI Cranks
SPD
New cables

A positive thing, the guy I bought if from has had it from new. Although on the downside I don't think the seatpost hasn't been moved much, as such it's stuck! Any ideas much appreciated. For 24 hours I've been putting oil around the top. Earlier I even bolted a screwdriver to the seatpost slid a pole over it and tried to turn it. All that happened is the screwdriver bent. Ahh

Lovely Klein. Treat with care removing the post. As very delicate area on a Klein.

And more/better pictures soon :D

Thanks, just had a eureka moment.

This bike lives indoors in the conservatory. The other 4 are in the garage.
Well it's hanging on the back of a door. I've just removed the bottle cage bolts and poured loads of oil down there. Hope that does the job. May add some heat also for good measure.

Best Klein i've seen, period.

Any of the old components needing a home? Rear Wheel? LX? PM?

Post

I had the stuk post problem.

I sprayed gt85in the seat tu e and then slowly twisted and lifted the seatpost,
Put indents in my hands but after a massive workout removed the post.

Nice mc2 bike- needs m900 !

Very nice! Good luck with the post! Careful with heating it, don't want to spoil the paint

Looking good Vincent, I can say it looks even better in the flesh having seen it Saturday!
