 Post subject: My old Proflex

Found a pic! Ahhhh, what a blast from the past! :D

Cant remember much about it now, other than Campy wheels with blue nipples (!) milled out LX cranks, XC Pro thumbies, rear mech, front mech, X-Lite Ti bars, and possibly an Orange stem. Can anyone i.d the Proflex model? Front triangle is different to the one I have now, and pretty much every other one I've seen!

It looks like an early one to me.

Would have come with rigid forks.

Check out this 91 model,

Also, no catalogue but if you look at the history in this catalogue (3rd page), suggests maybe a 90?

There is a remarkably similar frame to yours there. Silver frame with red rigid forks and red rear end.

Thanks for the links!

The original colour was metallic bronze main triangle with salmon pink swing arm. I don't think it was a 950, but 750 rang a bell, and a quick google came up with this!

Thats my brothers old bike - havent seen a pic of that for ages! Still got those forks in a box in my shed :)

Edited to add - also, i have the original Rigid forks too!
