+ Getting the shifter greased/fixed up = ??

All in i've done OK, she climbs like a scalded weasel, almost feels like she struggles to lay the power (and i use the term power loosely) down. Stem is a bit long at 120mm looking to swap that out for a 100mm; change out the brake levers and i dunno what else, i'm on a shoe-string. What you lot think about the Rond Magura Pro's?

Updates if and when they arrive.

Comments and suggestions welcome, although she is DONE for now until the full restoration.

Ride pics to follow...

Great example of what a superb result you can get for a strict budget, top marks!

Do you keep all of your bikes in individual display cabinets? :?

You've done well there. Good to see you've got one up and running.

You're certainly ahead of me. Keep it up!

Ah, he's fooled you, it's actually a 1/10 scale model

Looks great Jonny ;) , just need to get out on the trails and..........er..........Hammer it :)

Haha :)

Cheers!

The m740 Shifter gave up the ghost on this just as the build was rideable  so i eventually got round to the LBS with it and had my old m7?? (1996) shifters fitted and some new cables along with a m737 rear mech :D (cheers, Andy!)

Fully rideable now asides the tired Michelins.
(don't think these are 100% safe as they are ancient and the sidewalls are all dry :/ )

All i need now is a decent pair of gloves and i'm off out for a day of dirt ;)

joy

Done well with the persistence.

Good result there. I have 5 bikes here, and can't ride one.

Enjoy it mate.
