My Intense TRACER 1999/2000,

FRED101

Old School Hero
It might not be considered Retro by some standards, but i read some Retrobikers put the limit at Y2K so I dare to share the pics of my current ride with you.
Back then I had a hard time collecting all the pieces and the Magnesium Easton stem has been the starting point of the gold accents also found on the Manitou fork (one of the first models without canti bosses, disc only), Salsa skewers and the specialy modified stickers. It still has the square taper bottom bracket
8 years later i still ride it with only some minor changes (i kept all the originals pieces to put it back original and hang it to the wall some day).
On the ironic side, I went all out on this one and spent a lot of time and money to get it build and when it was done, i had no emotion, when riding it no woaaah feeling, a nice bike for sure, but not my prefered one since i ride, Go figure, it doens't always (never?) have to do with how much a bike costs.
