Allways wanted an old Stumpy. I found this one on ebay.com and really liked it! It has been used, with a lot of chips! But no dents or rust! I was thinking of respraying it, but not going to do that! I'm just gone keep it like it is! Put some nice 'deerhead' parts on it and ride it!

So you did buy it Bart
Good thing you are not going to paint it!
It looks lovely with this patina.

I did!

Instead of painting it I'm thinking of replacing the decals and keeping this patina! :?

Those old Stumpjumpers are great bikes. I have an old frame like that too. I was thinking about putting some Deore II or XT indexed parts on instead. That way the wife would ride it. She's not into the friction shifting at all.

Finally some progress! Still waiting for some parts like M700 brake levers and canti's!

Decided not to do a respray and keeping this old patina look!

Cool bike. I think it would be ace with a bullmoose bar at some point.
