I think your thread title may be limiting the number of hits this thread gets. And maybe proving a point.

That is a really great looking bike. Saved from a life of commuting?
 
i don't know if it's just my imagination but the wheel base looks really stretched out to me. is it designed specifically for drops?

never seen sifters mounted like that before either.

Ritchey frames are fascinating in that they are clearly MTB frames but he put beautiful road bike details on them. The top of the seatpost on this is lovely.

thanks. the previous owner worked for Ritchey, and used the bike to tour around the world a few times. my goal was to bring it back to proper mtn biking spec

first I took it for a few rides in Marin(sorry for the cell phone pics)

then I found a donor bike(pic provided by the seller) for some of the harder to find bits

frame looks amazingly tidy considering its been round the world a few times.
