Can anyone tell me what size seatpost this should have please (cos im itching to go shopping.... :twisted: :twisted: :lol: )

It looks like a USE post and if it has a shim it is sounds like it definitly is. The shim will not go all that far into the frame and the seatpost will only be effectivly using the top untriangulated section of the seat tube for support. I.e. old ally frame, lots of stress in one area = Crack!!

I used to ride with a guy who had an m1000 in "bonza blue fizz" (2 tone faded blue to the rest of us ;) )

His had mani 2s on it too.... till it got nicked :(

Just change the tyres [and the seatpost], 2.1's should make this look right, otherwise lovely bike.
