Only just bought this but decided that I might as well start a build thread...

I always remember MBUK only having good things to say about KHS back in the early/mid 90s and it was always in the back of my mind that I wanted one.

So, when I was offered this titanium one as a second chance offer on eBay I couldn't resist hitting the trigger.

Am I right in thinking that Litespeed made some of these?

I'm getting buyer's regret already :?
I really hope it's genuine :? :?

Now, now, don't be geekish! I know the answer to your question, but obviously I wouldn't dream of saying what it is. ;)

My wife calls this website GeektroBIKE, I think we should take that as a compliment.

Finances (lack of) mean that this is going to be a slow build, I haven't even got the frame yet :?

I couldn't resist uploading this though...purple is not a crime

I had a watch on that too, only because it was local though.
Looks like a nice frame and a good base to start with.
I often get caught up in the what if's in between winning and actually getting my hands on some thing.
It very rarely turns out bad though, I'm sure it'll be wicked.

Well, it arrived and it looks as nice as I expected it to.

I managed to secure an XT equipped donor bike at the weekend so KHS Ti v2.1 of this build will appear sooner than I expected :)

Blatantly too small for me though

Picked up the donor bike at the weekend, it's perfect for a number of reasons:

- it has full and date correct XT, inc cantis
- it has xlite titanium bars with purple end plugs
- it's in really really good condition
- I owned one just like this in 1997

Time to strip...
