Hi

Here are a few Pics of the kona kilauea I bought last week ...bike was in Excelent condition
I believe it is a kona kilauea 1996??
The frame is a tad big so I have decided to make it into a Single speed for town use ...just bought a Kona Project 2 fork which will replace the Pace forks..

yep 96 Kilauea - very nice :)

looks very large, guess size 20. Most parts are OE spec. except fork, saddle and the brake, what springs into my eyes first. ;)

good idea to get rid of the fork, not thats a bad fork, but it does not fit the frame and change the geo / ride of the frame.

have fun, lovely tubeset.

not into Pace forks, but fellow british members will be def. be able to tell you what year they are

Hi,
Nice Kilauea.

By any chance do you know what the cable stop band is that you have attached to your top tube?

I've just rebuilt my own version of this frame and I've had to run a continuous brake cable to my V-brakes and cable tie it to the top tube which doesn't look great.

Cheers,
Mike
