This was by far the most extensive resto I have ever done. It is Catalogue spec with the exception of:

-Pc7ns in lieu of Pc7s
-Fork internals
-Longer seatpost for my 6'7'' frame (the other one is in storage)
-Crank Bros SC pedals in lieu of Shimano 535? (Like all my bikes)
-Continental Montana / Atlanta in lieu of Tioga Psychos (Although I do have NOS Psychos in case I change my mind)

Overall this bike is from Indiana, California, Colorado, North Carolina, Illinois, Massachusetts, Ontario and the UK!

I paid $600 bucks for the bike inc ship. In total I have $1025 US into it.

This is definitely my new favorite bike. I have wanted one since I was 16...16 years ago!

pristine! its a real credit to you to bring it back to that level of showroom condition! its exactly as i recall my friends Y22's when they wheeled them out of the shop all those years ago....

After years of not being cool - I feel some Trek love on this site now. And bikes like yours are certainly helping. Congrats on a great resto and now being the proud owner of such a nice bike.

thanks guys for all the positive comments. No one in my office "gets" it...

I must admit that Trek has done a lot of uncool things...destroying Bontrager and Klein, pretty much everything they have done with Gary Fisher...but this one they got right the first year. Simple and elegant.

Here are some more pics..
