Joey Boswell's 1994 Orange P7

Dirt Disciple
Having moved from Liverpool to London and from relatively flat coastal rides to hilly / grassy rides I have ventured into the world of retro mountain bikes. As a 80s baby with an affinity towards anything from the 90s, the bike has followed on from my love of anything 90s...cars, music, trainers etc.

The bike the P7 replaced...my last track bike in it's 'pottering about' guise:

And here is the new steed:

Future plans are to just use it for now! And when it gets a bit worn I will replace parts as they come up cheap but I think the LX works fine for me. I might consider Maguras if I see any cheap but other than that it will just be little bits to spruce it up like new stickers. If I keep hold of it long enough to need a paint I will paint it the same colour as my car, being that they are both from 94. The colour is VW Ice Violet and here's the old beast that influenced this decision:

the markings on the sidewall point to the front. is this meant to be a front tyre then? I'll have to have a proper look. Nice one mate.

Nice VW Corado VR6! I have noticed quite a few nice VW's on this site in the background. I also run an old Golf GTI classic, is there a connection between clasic VW's and retro bike building? :?
