Just finished rebuilding my 1989/90 Clockwork.

I bought the frame and forks from new back in 1989 or 90 (can't remember exactly when) and built up a bike with an LX groupset from a mongoose IBOC Comp and a few fairly cheap low end parts.

After 20+ years of neglect (and not a great deal of miles) I was trawling the net for a new freehub body, discovered Retrobike, became inspired and decided to completely rebuild the Clockwork based on the XT M730 groupset. Other than the frame and forks the only other remaining parts from the original build in 1990 are the tyres and XT pedals. The plan now is to get out and actually ride it!

Thanks to all the RB'ers who have provided advice and sold me parts.
Hope you like the end result...

That's just perfect goose.......great components on a perfectly proportioned bike.......I don't think it gets any better!.... :D

truly gorgeous, always reminds me of the Saturday rides over to the bike shops as a teenager to see the Clockworks!

If I had one slight reservation it would be the carbon bars. But that is purely a personal thing as the rest of the bike is spot on.
