Would be a 98 or 99 I'd say.

A similar vintage GT STS DS (4-5" travel model) frame in good condition went for over 300 quid on uk ebay recently, although I picked up mine for about $250AU (100 quid) on australian ebay (with blown shock).

I would have thought the Lobo would be worth a little more than an STS, although its hard to judge. Complete bike might be worth 500-600 quid?

Had to come back for another drool - awesome bike!!!

If I win millions in lotto this weekend (have a couple of tickets - must be an absolute cert) I'll give you a couple of grand for it and fly over personally to collect it!

A boy can only dream..

Incidentally, I double checked and the GT STS DS frame I was talking about went for 323GBP.

Hey thanks for that i know that it might not be everyones favourite bike but i think its gorgeous and looks and in some cases out performs a lot of the modern day bikes now.......I know this will make a lot of people sick when they read this but the bike cost me nothing about 2 years ago a guy who lived down the road from me just gave it to me when his son moved out when he got married...... yes how jammie is that he wanted to get rid of it because he needed to make some space in his spare room and knew i was into bikes. :p  really should be on this forum as Mr Jammie git should'nt I.Good luck with the lotto i will have it cleaned up and ready for you.

Must admit i saw a standard LOBO alu frame go for nearly £800.00 the other day  so i am thinking with the right audience it could go for a lot more if i were to sell it ? i sold a STS 1000DS on ebay about a year ago and i got £1,200.00 for it because it was as lush as the LOBO so my mind is in overdrive at the moment   :?:

Yep......I hate you! Talk about right place, right time hey!

I would put this bike at late 90's, but I dont think GT made too many cus you dont hear too much about them.

£££'s wise, a bit of a specialist bike so hard to say. Its a bit of 'what someone is prepared to pay', but I wouldnt let it go for any less that £350/400.

But, as it cost you nowt......I'll give you £10 for it! ;)

Hmmmm!!! now if you had said £20.00 i might have thought about it ?? makes you sick when some bugger gets a deal like that does'nt it  See i am like you i thought these were as rare as hens teeth so just not sure what i should do keep it or sell it as i hear a nice little rumour that the whole GT range from this period are becoming quite the collectors bike ?? :D

£20 is pushing it, I can go to £12.78 if I root behind the sofa and then auction my daughter as a slave for the weekend!

If I were you (a right now I wish I was ;) ), as it didnt cost you anything it doesnt owe you anything, so keep it. And like you, I have a feeling the old GT's are going to be going up in value.......my RTS is going nowhere! :)

Yeah i saw your RTS :D :D :D something about the RTS that makes me get all excited mind you same fealing about the whole range RTS,LTS,STS,LOBO love what you did with the triple crown forks first time i have seen that.
