I came across an AMP B3 that needed some rescuing

Faults detected:

Weird plate on seat tube (I think it's hiding/reinforcing a repair) Hence 'Ampenstein'! Geezer claims it was reheat treated afterwards

Front wheel out of true, rear wheel about 25mm(!) out of alignment

Rear derailuer hanger bent

Rear stop tab on derailuer broken

No bearing in rear derailuer guide pulley

Rear shifter seized

Rear shifter cable seized

Incorrect axle on BB

Other than that? Nothing wrong at all - Best thing is bloke I bought it off claimed all the suspension bushes had been done... They have! And done properly! Which is ome kind of miracle considering much of the rest of the bike

So far fixed:

Front wheel out of true, rear wheel about 25mm(!) out of alignment

Rear derailuer hanger bent

Rear stop tab on derailuer broken

No bearing in rear derailuer guide pulley

Rear shifter seized

Rear shifter cable seized

I swapped the pedals (it had resin Wellgos) and the QRs it had steel ones... Now it's properly ridable

Gave me something to play with this evening!

Now I can ride it to work, must make sure not to crash while I watch all those funky linkages doing their thing up front

Yep! that's why I bought it!

Not sure what I'll ultimately do with it

Oh... I saw Les Paul guitar?

You did! '85 Gibson Les Paul Custom - It's a rescue as well... When I bought it it had been routed out for a Kahler Tremello and refinished in yellow!

That's the other way that all my time gets eaten up!

Parts bin raid

Been rummaging about in the parts bin to eliminate gold and super skinny seat post
