1992 Rocky Mountain Hammer comes home!

Well....after 2 months waiting for my friend to bring it 1600kms to me....ITS FINALLY HERE!!

So excited. Just a little background! Had an awful kickstand, Syncros fork, syncros seatpost, full xt groupo, and an awful seat. Here was the bike on classifieds ad.

I plan on changing the seat and front brake. I swapped the Ritchey Vantage rims for the Syncros Big Box rims.

She's finally home, to about 1 km of where she was built and assembled!
 
Thanks....there's tons of old parts kicking around but they come in spurts. Just hang in there! I got 2 more projects to go and its driving me crazy....if this one didn't pan out I would've snapped!
 
nice score, especially with the Syncros fork and post! not sure i like the stem…

what was wrong with the original wheelset? and yeah, that saddle needs to go! :LOL:

I yanked the Ritchey stem off. I do have a Syncros Cattleprod but I really like the Softride stem. As far as the wheelset goes, I built a set of Mavic XM317s with Deore DX hubs with red spokes. I don't mind the look of it and its a little lighter! Saddle has already been torched! :)

Are those tires 2.1 F and 2.3 R? I also have a laser black 92 that I picked up off kijiji for $35 complete minus wheels, tires and bars.
 
Yeah they are. I found the rear tire at my LBS store in the used pile. Couldn't resist it for $5. The front tire I got from a little cross border shopping in Alderwood in Washington state.
