This has been in the shed for a more then a month now, so time to build it!
I put some part on it just to seen where to go, the wheels are staying (Araya golden rims), the rest I don't know yet.
I might turn it into a singlespeed.

Look at her still sparkling after 23 years
The paint is still in nice condition apart from some sctatches and chips.

That colour is lovely!!
I have some roller-cams here, if you fancy going down that route.
Mine is all clean, fettled and ready to race at Mountain Mayhem on Saturday.
Removed the last of the Shimano from it today too :D

Thanks guys.
About the roller cam, I think I have the same one as you, I dismantled the CC to use some parts for this one.
Your red Dakota is also very nice, you should post some new pics now it the demons.. I mean the Shimano is gone.

Please don't make it into a SS unless you absolutely have to. SS is so last year and you'll get bored with it instantly like everyone else. Not a fair end for this 88 beauty.

It won't be a SS, that was just me being lazy.
I don´t have the right shifters and mechs yet and with the horizontal drop outs I saw a chance of saving some work. ;)

Looking at this beautiful sparkling paint i have had two associations. Studio 54 and VW Dune Buggies.
I will follow this thread with great interest.

So, allmost finished.
I'm waiting for cable outers in the same colour of the decals (silver).
Build with Suntour XC 7000, it is allright for now, but I will search for some XT 6 speed gear and a black post.
Eventually my perfect build will be all black parts, incl. rims.
