Oh my god, i had forgotton all about the MBK bikes, and i am certain this is the same one my friend had BITD. We used to worship him for owning this bike.. his one was a lot smaller mind, but still brings back memories!!

try a model shop for your paint , humbrol and tamiya do some nice flouro
colours at 99p a tin
get some white for the base coat tho

That's the second comment about size. I guess i'd better go measure it. It doesn't seem that big

Just acquired this which I presume is from 1989 as it’s full Deore II (with XT headset).

Seems to be all original apart from the tyres.

21”, but with a sloping top tube more like a 23” equivalent (if tt was horizontal).

Very very rare that. I know someone that would pay decent money for that as he had one as a teen and regrets selling.
