Kona Lave Dome.......shed find

malvern newbie

Retro Newbie
Well, sort of......after my first post regarding my own bike;

http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=146843

I have now dragged out the other half's and sorted it out too.......Pretty much as it was stored with original tyres, and LX upgrades (off my stumpy when I went full XT)

We have been taking it easy, just towpath stuff and short rides out to get some miles in, today we did a 20 mile circuit from Aust across the Severn bridge and back, and along the Severn way;

It's a diddy 14.5 inch size one, and seems to get a lot of attention from other female riders!

Nice little bike. It's a size 14 1995 Lava Dome. A size 14 is for males up to c5-3, or for females a bit taller, as females generally prefer a short top tube and more upright posture.

From the length of it, it looks as though the fork has partially collapsed so presumably the elastomers are gone. You could replace them, but with that short stem the geometry would happily accommodate a much better fork, up to 80mm travel.
