Dawes, finished and ridden

rocky mountain

Devout Dirtbag
Well here it is, with re homed wheels, reused tyres, new cables and blocks, two chains bolted together as the wheelbase is so long and new pedals. about £20.

How does it ride? like a long thing, its 6ft plus long, great on a descent, bit of a barge on singletrack, gearing of 39 tooth and six at the back makes pushing a good idea on some hills. brakes work eventually, more of a slow build up of power.....

The best bit was actually how simple and straightforward the parts were to put back together.

Finally the thumbies are brilliant, where do you get them these days?

wheels

hi,

they are from the neighbour who was chucking them out, what was important that the rear is a 130 mm axle and screw on cassette.

it was a cheap rebuild.
