A couple of months ago i picked up a Zaskar from a badly listed ebay auction, despite being generally untidy the bike was hardly used.

A bit of elbow grease and some new decals sorted the frame, so i set about rebuilding the rest. Following a couple of differant builds, here's the result:

Frame - 18" 1994 GT Zaskar (Frame # 03940334)
Fork - Rock Shox Mag 21
Headset - M651 DX
Stem - Syncros Cattleprod 130mm/0deg
Handlebar - Answer Hyperlite
Bar Ends - X-Lite Stubbies (if i fit them)
Grips - Clear Onza Ules
Brakes - M737 XT & matching pads
Brake Levers - M737 XT Combi
Shifters - M737 XT Combi
Front Derailleur - M737 XT
Rear Derailleur - M737 XT
Cassette - M737 XT 8sp 11 - 28
Chain - HG70
Cranks - M737 XT
Chainrings - Shimano/Sugino Compact 22-32-42
Bottom Bracket - UN73
Pedals - M525 DX SPD
Quick Releases - Pulstar 9mm/Deore XT
Rims - Mavic M231 32h
Hubs - Pulstar
Tyres - Continental XC 1.5's
Saddle - Flite Ti
Seatpost - Ringle Moby Deuce
Weight - 24 - 25lbs

Like it. It has the same style decals as my 'LE', I've not seen another one with them.

go out and give it some abuse :)

Funny you mention the decals. The seller claimed that the bike was his sons who was mustard on a bike and that this was a GT team bike, not shop bought.

Personnaly i thought that was bobbins as it has the 'don't ride until you've read the manual sticker on the top-tube  . Still, it doesn't match the one in the '94 catalogue either...
