Picked this up in a swop with my LBS manager. It was his Uncles who was apparently a dedicated roadie.Bought as something to train on offroad as mtbing was becoming the thing

I was lucky in that most of it is original parts with the exception of the rear hub,the brakes/levers and the shifters.

I've since bought some proper XT canties and levers and a pair of deore thumbies then replaced them with the proper XT m730 groupset thumbies, to replace the modern cheap sti units and the LX v's that came on it. and get it running
Frame is in OK condition,a few battle scars but minor really.

really nice, but they missed the headset, get a purple one on there pronto! :)

That has been for the most part polished.Im trying to keep costs down :?

Ive been neglecting my wee project though i have managed to get the mechs and cranks polished up.
Fair number of marks scratches etc but a bit of hard work and theyre as good as new :D
Brakes and shifters have also polished up nice.I cant remember seeing thumbies as shiny as they are now.Not even originally

At present
[sorry,not my choice of wallpaper]

Im using 1 1/4" controltech risers as its the only bar i have in,the one that came with it is cut too short to fit everything on.

Nice  , i remember one of the guys in the Glasgow MTB club had one, would have been around 92 (i had an Offroad 852), had tons of purple on it too but rigid forks from what i can remember.
