Another season, another build.
I have had this for some time in the original specs, but wanted to build it with a DX gruopset I had lying around.
So when the nice weather started here in Holland, I took it apart for a good clean and new grease.

It is a '89 Jamis Diablo with Tange double butted frame and some nice fillet brazed details.
It has some patina, but overall it looks good, no dents or rust.

These are the part I will be using:
DX front & rear mech, thumbies, canti's, levers, crank, peddals
DX hubs with Ritchey rims
Cycle Tech bars and Tioga T-Bone stem
Schwalbe Wild Rangers tires
Avocet saddle (matches the yellow decals perfectly)

I'm thinking about yellow cable outers, what do you think?

Yey, another Jamis build!!
Yellow outers could look pretty good with the other yellow detailing.

Looking forward to seeing this develop!

Thanks Mark.
Any idea where you can buy yellow outers?
I can't find them in the regular internet shops.
Some people use heat shrink over the normal outer, any experience with that?

I found some yellow outers on ebay a while ago, when I was thinking of going down that road with my Rock Lobster

Looks good! Black and yellow!

I used Jagwire yellow outer cables for my Muddy Fox. You can find them on ebay.

Thanks for the link Rio.

Threw some parts on it to sort out what looks good.
I found some good Ground Controls that I like a lot.
I have some black Deore cranks, but that will be to much black, so it will be all silver or silver cranks with black rings.
And I'm thinking about another stem with less raise, maybe Salsa?

I've got a Jamis Spectre stem here Jeroen, that I'd gladly part with for a Jamis build :D
Its a steel one too, so shouldn't be subect to the infamous Spectre cracking!

I've been hoarding it, but I cant see me ever using it

I used some elbowgrease and a lot of Autosol polish whith this result:"

Then cleaned the Ground Controls, now waiting for yellow cables to finish her.
