YETI A.R.C 1996

Here's my 96 YETI A.R.C, I'm the original owner. I built it up and rode it a handful of times, I always thought it was too nice to ride, so it was moth balled. I used the rear wheel on a training bike, hence the slick.

Forks: Manitou Mars Cl's
Headset: Chris King with step down reducers 1.25 to 1.125
Stem: Race Face Original
Bars: Yeti downhill (also have a set of NOS thermoplastic XC)
Saddle: Avocet
Seat-post: Dean Aluminium (made my controltech)
Crank: XTR
Mechs: XTR
Shifters XT
Brakes: Magura HS33 Tomac edition
Wheels: Mavic ceramics, goldtec spokes, White Industries hubs.
Pedals: XT SPD
Tyres: YETI FRO by IRC

First and foremost, its not a 94. Its more like a 97 minus the Troy Lee graphics.

And that build is a complete disaster.

But if you're happy with it, then that's all that matters.

Thanks for the kind words.
I bought the frame the back end of 94 early 95 it's a 1.25 headtube, which from memory was last used during this time.

So what you're saying is they make a special frame just for you that used a seat collar and no FD cable roller?

YETI ARC

I know the the time period whenI purchased the frame, I got some of the first XTR available in the UK and that was 96 ???? (late 96)

The build was more to do with parts I had available at the time, rather than looking pretty. The Troy Lee design was a fair bit later than when I bought this.

I think XTR M950 like you have was around 97/98.

Bloody lovely bike though.

Yeti ARC

I've just consulted the oracle and she's confirmed we were in the US late 96. Which probably makes more sense with what you guys are saying.
I've looked at some other 95-96 ARC's and they have the same seat clamp and paint job / decals. The ARC stickers on mine were sent on by YETI at my request.

Lovely, lovely bike. I think the build needs
a) Either a DEAN stem or an RF seatpost
b) Different saddle (or just one that's reasonably horizontal

)
c) An off road rear tyre
d) To be in my shed

Shame you don't ride it, but fully understand why you don't.
