Hi, this is miyata elevation 2,000, with Greg Herbold saddle, grips, and tires! Imagine, the tires haven't worn out yet.. :D i like the purple color.. :)

You become the new Miyata king here ?!

Nice all those H-Ball goodies. What surprises me A LOT on your bike is that it has an aluminium rear instead of a steel rear. The Elevation 2,000 in the review I posted in the scan section has a steel tail and the frame featured in this 6(!) pages Miyata ad too => here!

So far I reasoned a frame that combined an alu front triangle with an alu tail was always an Elevation 5,000.

I can see your bike has the alu tail because the brakestuds are bolted, at the dropout it is bolted... while with steel there is brazing at those places.

hehe..no..you're the king.. i only have 2 miyatas.. :)

wow..as usual, you always looked at the details.. after i read your comments, i rushed myself to check the prints on my bike, and..yes..it is elevation 2,000. :)

so, what's wrong? how can this possibly happen..? :?

No, probably it got the alu stays in a more recent year. Can't tell exactly, as I am in Europe and where I live we never had US Miyatas.
